HOW CAN WE HELP?

How to find a photographer for corporate headshots?

Finding a photographer for corporate headshots can be difficult, especially if you don’t have a relationship with a photographer already.  Here’s a list of ways you can find the right photographer for your project:

1. Look for a photographer who has experience in your industry. Corporate portraits require a different approach than other types of photography as important to find a photographer who has experience in the field.

2. Check out the portfolios.  A photographer’s portfolio will give you an idea of their style aesthetic and quality. Make sure that the photographer that you hire aligns with your brand's style.

3. Don’t be afraid to ask for references. Past clients can provide valuable insight into a photographers professionalism, communication skills, and quality of work.

What to expect during a headshot session

Once you select a photographer for your corporate headshots, is it important to understand what to expect during the session.

1. Juggling people's schedules is probably the most difficult part of the process, and we understand that. We typically like to set aside a half hour per subject. (If they will be here and make up involved, it’s important to schedule that time in as well.) Our team pre-lights everything that we shoot, so the time the subject will actually need to be in the chair is limited. We understand how valuable people schedules are, and do our best to work around them.

2. Arriving prepared. We always like to suggest some clothing options, and to make sure everything is well ironed and well fitting. The more we can do in front of the camera, the less needs to be done with retouching.

3. Review the images as we go.  We shoot all of our portraits tethered to a computer, so you can see every image as it comes in. This allows you to not only you will see what you’re going to get in the end, but if you feel like someone’s time is limited, you know you can stop shooting as soon as you get the perfect shot.
