Tim Llewellyn is a Boston-based photographer specializing in advertising, corporate and editorial photography. A graduate of Georgetown University, Tim has shot on location on five continents for major corporations, award-winning design firms and non-profits. He was included the Communication Arts Photography Annual in 2008 and 2006, as well as consistently having working in the Blackbook AR100. Tim also spent a year as Barack Obama's personal campaign photographer in New Hampshire.
"I believe strongly in photography as story telling. I also believe that sometimes a lot of things want to be said, or need to be said, but can't. They can only be shown.
We have, I think, a limited ability to express our emotions efficiently through words. And often less is more. But a few simple words can only point everyone in the right direction if they are the perfect words. Photographs can bypass the ambiguity of word choice and allow anyone, regardless of age or vocabulary, to be heard.
Some people I have photographed are famous, some are on their way, other never hope to be. But in their faces long stories are told - and we have found our own words for them, and the words are perfect."
